Zen Saying

Ok, so this is inspiring to me, right now. Everything in it’s due time. “For every season, turn, turn, turn, there is a reason…” God is watching me, and handling it all. Life is a process of healing. No rush. If I rush to remove the clothing of my small self before I’m ready I will feel more pain than is necessary. Patience and trust. In time, God’s perfect time, the light of my greater Self will shine through like the sun on a perfect spring day. Amen. I will go back to doing nothing.

Act from the Self

The evidence is clear, it’s time to wake up… “Get rid of the self, and act from the Self.” Zen saying.

At least this is what I’m being shown today. I had a little incident with laundry detergent poured on the couch by my 2yr old boy. Had to remove, unzip the cover from the cushions. A tight fit, tough to remove. Realized the cover needed a washing anyway. This got me thinking about the tight fit, or hold of my outer small self around my greater Self, or soul. I have changed and grown so much. I can feel it in my heart and soul, but my actions don’t always correspond to the major transformations happening inside. I often have knee jerk responses to the challenges of daily life, of relationships, of family, etc. I feel this is not the true me, the Self that knows better and that resides in peace, love, joy and harmony somewhere not so deep inside.

This poem somehow relaxes me. More than seeing love as something to work for, love is already something inside that merely needs to be uncovered. Beautiful! Although ”letting go” may at first appear easier than striving to gain and achieve, in actuality “letting go” is often the hardest thing. What gives me peace and hope is knowing that at least I am on the right path, heading in the right direction. ”…and grace will lead me home!” gilda

New Beginnings

So it’s been a year or so since I last posted. It’s good to be back! It’s been a year since my adopted one year old baby arrived, about the same time I also received my Reiki Master certificate. How exciting! Then the business of reality hit. Motherhood has been an exhausting blessing for me. My son is a precious angel sent from up above. He’s a wonderful ball of physical energy, a perfect balance to my desire to transcend all things physical. A Reiki Master forced to come back down to earth. I’ve surely grown. Having to give up the majority of my spiritual and mental pursuits in the past year I’ve instead become physically stronger than ever in my life. My mental chatter has slowed down and I’ve gotten more clear. Thank God for small blessings. Yet now it’s time to rebalance back a bit toward my spiritual practices, beginning slowly by meditating, writing on this blog, and taking stock of the progress of my spiritual path of “letting go.’”

Life is good. My baby is beautiful. Now the test gets harder, to balance physical reality and it’s demands in a greatful, loving way while simultneously seeking to transcend and rise above reality. The game of letting go and living continues! It’s a balancing act I’m not only ready to pursue but I must to keep peace and love in my heart and bitterness and resentment miles away. This is something my baby and I both deserve.

My Soulful Life

I am happy with my soulful, Spirit connected life today. I’m happy to live in this place of peaceful, trusting ease. This sacred space is somewhere I deserve to be, as all God’s children do. Though I still must work regularly at keeping my ego in check, to avoid being knocked down and out of paradise in an instant.

So, ego, away with your negative banter and back talk, your fear, your impatience, your conviction that it’s “you against the word;” one woman standing alone, battling the good battle. Feeling undeserving, needing to work, toil, sweat and struggle to prove my worth and secure that Loving place in God’s divine kingdom. I let you go with loving compassion for all the good you intended for me but unkowningly, unintentionally hurt me. You are now free to go. Me, my soul, and God are doing just fine on our own!

A Loving Reminder:

Everything comes to me as needed, when needed, if I remember to trust my intuition, trust God, seek not and worry not!

When my own good intentions fall through or fall short I need to trust God’s will is always happening for the greatest good.

When things slow me down, stop me, or push me into places I didn’t plan to go, again God’s will is happening for the greater good. Just trust!

A New Way of Living

There are so many changes in my life lately and so many changes happening in the world. In spite of all the chaos and turbulence felt during these times of change, I am hopeful everything will turn out ok. I am a visionary who is an eternal optimist, even though I am apt to complain about day to day frustrations and struggles. Overall I am hopeful about the coming of a “new world.”

I experience the emerging of a “new world” in my own life, as living in the physical world, but in a new way; allowing my soul or energetic inner spirit, to enliven, inform and connect with my physical world. This means getting my ego’s limited mind, out-of-the-way. True life is a dance of spirit with matter. Not one disregarding or negating the other.
